Every programme element begins with and returns to sustainability — environmental, economic, and social. The problem becomes the business. The challenge becomes the opportunity.
RISE is not a skills-training programme alone — it is a pipeline. Mentees move from deep sustainability knowledge to venture design and, ultimately, to a running enterprise.

How We Get There
Every objective flows from a single conviction: that sustainability education, properly channelled, produces entrepreneurs and innovators who create lasting value.
Ground every mentee in deep, practical knowledge of a sustainability domain — waste management, sustainable agriculture, climate enterprise, circular economy, water conservation — before any enterprise or career content is introduced.
Transform sustainability knowledge into venture concepts. The problems and sectors that mentees study in Phase 2 become the basis for the businesses they design in Phases 3–5. The challenge is always: 'What can you build from this?'
Position RISE mentees as opportunity-creators in overlooked sustainability sectors. Waste, agriculture, and traditional craft are not constraints — they are untapped markets. RISE trains mentees to see and seize these opportunities.
Ensure every RISE mentee exits the programme having started something — a micro-enterprise, a freelancing practice, a social initiative — however small. The goal is not the plan; the goal is the launch and the sustaining of it.
RISE acts as a connector between mentees and corporates, NGOs, and supply chains. Mentees are introduced to buyers, investors, and partners who need what they are building — creating market access alongside the skills to serve it.
Incorporate cottage industry and traditional craft as a formal sustainability and enterprise track — recognising the deep economic and cultural value of craft-based livelihoods, and supporting mentees to build modern, viable enterprises.
